Mr. Ovidiu Popa-Velea has a PhD. in medical sciences, a Master’s Degree in psychology and he is currently a lector at the Bucharest Medicine and Pharmacy Faculty “Carol Davila”, Medical Psychology Department. One of his main study areas is the burnout syndrome, conducting research and writing articles with this theme.
Mr. Popa-Velea is the author of volumes such as “Human behavior sciences. Applications in medicine” (2010), “Medical psychology. Theoretical grounds and practical applications for doctors and psychologists” (2006), and co-author of “The psychological angle of surgeries” (2000), “Applied psychosomatic elements” (1999), “The psychological angle of medical practice” (2003).
Ovidiu Popa-Velea is a member in the European Health Society, European Psychosomatic Medicine Association, Balint Association, Romania Palliative Medicine Association, Romanian Psychoneuroendocrinology Association.
